Welcome to South Cowichan Foot Care. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Appointments

South Cowichan Foot Care provides professional nursing foot care through both mobile in-home appointments throughout the Cowichan Valley (from Malahat to Ladysmith) and in-clinic appointments in Duncan.

Please ensure that someone is home and available at the scheduled appointment time. If you need to make changes to your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or where we are unable to provide the scheduled service because the client is unavailable or access to the appointment has not been arranged, will be subject to a $50 Late Cancellation Fee.

This policy helps cover the reserved appointment time and allows us to continue providing reliable, timely service to all of our clients.

Late cancellation fees may be waived in cases of medical emergencies, severe weather, or other exceptional circumstances at the discretion of South Cowichan Foot Care.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To help us provide the safest and highest quality care, please:

• Have a comfortable chair available in a well-lit area.

• Ensure pets are secured during your appointment, if applicable.

• Have your feet clean before your appointment.

• Please avoid showering, bathing, or soaking your feet immediately before your appointment. Dry feet allow us to safely and effectively trim nails and reduce calluses, while wet skin and nails can make treatment more difficult and less effective.

• If possible, remove nail polish before your appointment if you would like your nails fully assessed.

Health Information

For your safety, please inform us of any changes to your:

• Medical conditions

• Medications

• Allergies

• Recent surgeries or hospitalizations

• Foot wounds, infections, or new concerns

• Changes in mobility or circulation

Providing up-to-date health information helps ensure you receive safe and appropriate care.

Scope of Service

South Cowichan Foot Care provides professional nursing foot care services focused on maintaining healthy feet, improving comfort, and preventing complications.

Our services are not intended to replace medical diagnosis or emergency medical care. If concerns are identified during your appointment, you may be referred to your physician, nurse practitioner, podiatrist, or another appropriate healthcare provider for further assessment or treatment.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Outstanding balances, including late cancellation fees, may need to be paid before future appointments can be scheduled.

Infection Prevention & Safety

Your health and safety are our highest priorities. All reusable instruments are professionally cleaned, sterilized, and packaged before each appointment. Single-use items are disposed of after one use, and evidence-based infection prevention and control practices are followed during every visit.

Privacy

Your personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy legislation.

Changes to These Terms
